Obama is Time’s Man of the Year!

Published by Sarah at 9:25 pm under Uncategorized Edit This

When I heard about it this afternoon I was absolutely elated!  Of all the possible people that could have been named for this honor and for President-Elect Obama to actually receive this is just absolutely amazing!  He truly deserves it for all that he has accomplished and for the historical moment he has provided this great country.

If Mr. Obama gets this honor this year - just imagine what kind of accolades he will receive over the next 8 years as he helps to rebuild this country and restore our good name around the world!  I know - it is 4 year terms - but - I have no doubt at all that he will be re-elected.  He has been appointing some very great people to his cabinet posts and with his transition team ramping up - they will all be ready to hit the ground running come the day he is inaugurated.

I know I promised to put something up about his policies and what it means for this country but it’s been a bit hectic lately getting ready for Christmas around here.  I haven’t had an opportunity to really read everything or to research everything about his cabinet picks.  But, I promise you all - most likely after the holidays - I will be back up and running full force and will be ready to start my reporting.

So, in case you hadn’t heard this great news yet, I just felt it necessary to put something up today.  Obama is going to be about a lot of “firsts” during his tenure as this nation’s President.

Yeah it was good for Obama and all but come on. His competition was Sarah “I-can-see-Russia-from-my-house” Palin, Hank “me and Bush got rich off all you mothers” Paulsen and the president of France. Of course Obama’s gonna win out of that bunch…

Hi skwguitar - thanks for stopping in. Well, given the competition and what the Times award (if you can actually call it an award or whatever it is) any one of those other persons could have taken it. I don’t understand why Paulsen was even considered. I do understand why Sarah Palin was in the running because she was a newsmaker herself. It seems to me she got almost as much press as Obama did.

Hi castocreations - I guess it’s all in the way you look at it. I still believe it is a great honor.
