A great way to kick of the New Year
Hello everyone! So sorry for the delayed re-entry. Christmas and New Years is always a very busy time of year for us. We had some family come to visit during Christmas week and then we had our regular New Year’s Eve party that we host each year. Lots of planning and shopping and cleaning and …well…I think you all get the point.
Over the holiday I was tagged by Fearless History to do a “meme” post. I don’t exactly know yet what a “meme” is, but, since this is my first time, it looks like its going to be fun. I am supposed to tell you all six things about myself then”tag” six others.
1. I am not a stay-at-home mom as much as I would like to be. I am a customer service representative for a large company and work a regular 9-5 job.
2. I had a fairly strict religious upbringing as a child. Upon looking back I would say my parents were social conservatives and Republicans. Perhaps that’s the reason why I am now a moderate Democrat!
3. I was raised in the bible belt in the eastern part of Alabama - close to Panama City, Florida.
4. I now live in Missouri with my wonderful hubby and my 14 year old daughter. My husband I are highschool sweethearts. He joined the Army and then we got married after he finished his AIT training. He’s no longer in the Army. We decided to stay here in Missouri after he got out. Beautiful country here.
5. I only have a high school diploma but I plan on going back to school to get a business degree. Hopefully, with Obama’s new education plans I might be able to afford it. I figure I will wait until my daughter gets out of high school. Who knows, maybe we can go to college together. (I don’t know how she would feel about that though)
6. I am a really big fan of all the Law & Order and CSI shows. I think Gil Grissom leaving CSI is the pits. He really made that show. I don’t think its going to survive much longer without him.
Anyway - thats my 6 things. Here are the people I’m tagging and the rules:
Tag Rules:
1. Link to the person who tagged you.
2. Post the rules on your blog.
3. Write six random things about yourself.
4. Tag six people at the end of your post and link to them.
5. Let each person know they were tagged and leave a comment on their blog.
6. Let the tagger know when your entry is up.

Thanks for the “Meme” post! It’s nice to get a glimpse into other bloggers’ personalities.

Oh, and I think “meme” probably refers to a self-centered cry of “me! me!,” but I could be mistaken. Thanks for playing along!
I hope all your dreams come true in 2009. I love your blog by the way, just found it on Entrecard!
