Woo Hoo! Congratulations PRESIDENT Obama!

Published by Sarah at 9:33 pm under Uncategorized Edit This

The day has finally come!  The world - and I do literally mean THE WORLD - is rejoicing today as President Obama took the oath.  I read on other blogs today and saw on the news that many nations around this world tuned in today to watch Obama be sworn in as our 44th President.  Obama brings hope, not only to our country, but to countries all around the globe.

He and his family looked absolutely amazing today - and as I watch the inaugural ball this evening - they all look smashing again tonight.  I took in every word that Mr. Obama said today in his acceptance speech and all I can say is - Bravo President Obama and good luck.  I just want to take a moment and re-print here what I thought was the most inspirational for me (thank God for the Internet to be able to find the script so quickly)

Today I say to you that the challenges we face are real. They are serious and they are many. They will not be met easily or in a short span of time. But know this, America - they will be met.

On this day, we gather because we have chosen hope over fear, unity of purpose over conflict and discord.

On this day, we come to proclaim an end to the petty grievances and false promises, the recriminations and worn out dogmas, that for far too long have strangled our politics.

These words give me great hope for this country.  We are the greatest nation in the world and I believe President Obama will restore this country.  We will once again be healed and other less advantaged countries will be able to look to this country once again as their salvation and hope.

Good luck, Mr. President.  I’m here for you!

Sarah

What a great day for our country. I feel more proud right now in my country than I ever have before. Today was historic on so many levels. I can’t wait to see what tomorrow brings…

    Cheers!

It’s only historic if you obsess about outward appearances. Obama will only continue the failed policies of the past. After the “honeymoon,” reality will assert itself and people will become disillusioned again. That’s after he takes more freedom away from American citizens.
